Implementing ParkinsonNet in 5th gear

Project lead, Maxime Steppe, talks to Parkinson’s Europe about the new funding to expand the ParkinsonNet concept around Europe.

Accelerate the implementation of the proven ParkinsonNet model in three countries – four regions, in two years. That is the goal of the innovative ACTION-PD project. An exciting collaboration between ParkinsonNet, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse, UniversitĂ  Degli Studi di Padova, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS and the University of Silesia in Katowice. ParkinsonNet trains and coaches the professionals remotely. The implementation work lies with the local teams. A great opportunity to find out if we can improve Parkinson’s care on a larger scale, internationally. A research team from Radboud University Medical Center is involved in evaluating and publishing the results.
